Willie D. Tate, 90, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2022.
He was the father of D. Michael Tate (Simon O’Mahony), Willie Swift (Gloria) and the late Antoinette Tate-Angel and grandfather of DeOnne Garner, Adrianna Swift, Donnell Roe and Willie Swift. Jr. He is survived by his brother William Tate and sisters Lillian Ingram and Dorothy Taylor.
Mr. Tate was born in Obion, TN on November 21, 1931, to the late Isom and Mattie Pearl Tate.
He was the owner of Mt. Pleasant Carpet for more than four decades providing his customers with top-notch service.
He was also a longtime member of Lee Road Baptist Church, Eureka Lodge #52 and El Hasa Temple #28.
A public viewing will be held in his honor on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the R.A. Prince Funeral Services 16222, Broadway Ave, Maple Heights OH 44137 (Chapel A) from 5pm to 7pm.
Funeral Services will be held on, Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Lee Road Baptist Church 3970 Lee Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44128 at 11:00 AM. Family will received friends thirty minutes prior to service.
