Obituary Edward Milton Lawson Sr., affectionately known as “Doll Bay: was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 16, 1951 to the late Annie Ruth Lawson and James Marvin Lawson. Edward was the fourth of twelve children. Edward confessed to Christ at an early age. He attended Cleveland Public Schools, and joined the United States Army in 1971, after he was discharged, Edward opened Lawson Brother’s Towing on Miles Avenue and in 1982 moved his business to Harvard Avenue and changed the name to Lawson’s Auto Recycling and Towing. Edward employed many people including children. Edward was very active in the community by helping family and friends, and even those he didn’t know by giving of himself, and helping those in need; whether if it was for food or just to put money in a child’s pocket. He devoted himself to helping the younger generation to develop business goals and education. Edward was known for loving kids regardless of whose child they were. Edward could always be found at his favorite places, the Thistledown Race Track and Northfield Race Track. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife: Storm Lawson, his brothers: James “Bro” Lawson (Debra), Keith Lawson (Betty), Steve “Stevie” Lawson ( Renee), Larry Lawson and Ricky Lawson, sisters: Carolyn Lawson Thompson, Debbie Lawson and Tammy Lawson his sons: Edward M. Lawson Jr., Edward M. Lawson Sr., Eric M. Lawson, Eddie Lee Lawson, Shamar Lawson, Roderick Law- son and Keith Lawson, daughters: Arlene Lawson, Darlene Lawson, Ida Gill Law- son, Rebecca (Peaches) Lawson, Shiyla Lawson. Twenty-two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins. A host of in-laws: Toni Leak, Gay Respress, Rochelle Respress, Kim Jackson, Christopher Respress. Friends and Associates.
