Morris Clifton was born on February 20, 1951, in Anniston, Alabama. He was the only child of Doris Mosley (deceased). After graduating from Cobb High School in Anniston, Alabama, Morris, enlisted in the United States Navy. He received an Honorable Discharge and returned to Cleveland, Ohio, to live with his father and stepmother, Dorothy Clifton. He worked at LTV Steel. He furthered his education as a Truck driver and received a certification through Great Lakes Trucking Company. Morris enjoyed riding motorcycles and joined the organization the Buffalo Soldiers. His family was the apple of his eye and he found ways to stay in touch with love ones by communicating through Social Media. Morris was a member of Blessed Hope Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Morris heard a knock at the door on June 6, 2016. He answered the door, and entered in to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death, by his brother, Rodriquez Moss and son, Maximillian Clifton. Morris leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted and loving family. His father: Claude Clifton, stepmother: Dorothy Clifton, brother: Michael (Karmar) Clifton, three sisters: Dawn Hayes of Alabama, Karen (Otis) Jefferson and Sherry (Leonard) Lee, his children: Shawn Clifton of San Diego, Antwaun Clifton of Atlanta, GA, Marlaina (Rodriquez) Clifton-Thomas, Mariah Clifton of South Carolina, My-Onte & D-Monte Clifton of Warner Robbins, GA. Eleven grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. He also leaves a beloved fiancé Debra Hughes and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. |
