Melvin Coker Sr., known as “Wilbur” passed away on November 11, 2022 peacefully surrounded by family. Mr. Coker was born in Sardis, Alabama on February 27, 1945, to the late parents of Robert and Minnie Coker. He attended Shiloh High School in Sardis, Alabama, later in December 18, 1963, Melvin married Emma Dean and they were married for over 58 years. From that union they were blessed with two beautiful children, Terraine Coker and Melvin Coker Jr. Melvin was a faithful member of Second Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church and sang in the Choir. His favorite song was “Rough Side of the Mountain.” Melvin was a faithful follower of Christ and taught his family to receive and stand on God’s word. He will be missed by many who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at Sanctuary Baptist Church at 4004 East 131st Cleveland, OH 44105 at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to services. Interment: will be held on 11:30 AM at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery at 5505 Northfield Road, Bedford Heights, OH 44146 at 11:30 AM.
