Daisy Belle Lee-Wilkerson, was born on March 1, 1916, in a small town in West Virginia to Stella Lee. Her grandfather, Will Lee was whom she looked up to as her father. She was an only child.

Daisy and her mother moved to Ohio in the 1940’s for better opportunities. In the late 1940’s, Daisy married George Edward Wilkerson and to this union her only son, George Edward Wilkerson Jr., was born on August 4, 1951. Daisy graduated from Kent State University in 1963 with a Bachelor’s degree in Science. She began teaching in the Cleveland Municipal School District where she was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years.

Daisy loved to stay active and joined a number of groups and organizations. She was very fond of her membership to Church Women United and Phi Delta Kappa Inc. She was a member of the Sanctuary Choir and was a faithful member of Lee Road Baptist Church since the 1970’s. Daisy was well liked and always greeted everyone with a smile.

Daisy enjoyed being on the go and she loved to travel. She also loved going on casino trips with friends and organizations. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards as well as going to her exercising classes. She was at her happiest when she was spending time with her family and friends.

Daisy’s mother, grandfather, husband and son all preceded her in death.

Daisy leaves to mourn her passing, her only granddaughter: Lezette Smith (Ernest) of Shaker Hts., OH, her grandson; Aries Shazor of Cleveland, OH, seven great-grandchildren, Shaniqua Wilkerson, Chrishuna Wilkerson, LeAndrew Rucker, Leonna Rucker, Precious Robinson, Eugene Robinson Jr., and Aries Shazor Jr. and a great-great grandson, Shamar James, and a host of other relatives and friends.
