Norman Smith Jr., was born on August 4, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born an only child to the union of Norman Smith Sr., and Carolyn Davis-Nared (deceased), (he was also blessed to have the love of a second father, Ellis Nared – “deceased”). Norman has two sisters, Lisa McKissic and Candice McKissic (deceased) and one brother, Eric McKissic. He has four children, three girls and one boy with Selina Smith who he shared a union with for many years and still remained friends.
He was a graduate of Fast Technical High School and he attended Cuyahoga Community College, where he earned a certification in the field of Carpentry. He was a very hard worker, and enjoyed doing work that related to his field of study, among other things.
Norman had a vast love for music and loved to DJ and host. In fact, he was affectionately called by many the “Disco Kid”. Music was deeply rooted with in him. He always showed love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them all and he was never, afraid to say “I love you”.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father: Norman Smith Sr., (Dorothy), his four children: Carolyn Threatt, Quenisha Smith, Tenesha Smith and Norman Smith Ill., his five grandchildren: Junisha Threatt, Taiyrique, Ajiah, Tyrisha and Tea’, his sister: Lisa McKissic, nephews and nieces Jonathan, Diondre, Javonte, Jelisa, Antonay, Amari and Ellisia and a host of great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
