Louis E. Tatum, was one of fifteen children, born to Grady Tatum Sr., and Bertha Tatum in Malvern, Arkansas, on February 7, 1938.

He attended Wilson High School in Malvern, Arkansas.

Louis accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Rockport MBC, where he served as a Junior Deacon.

Louis loved his family and his many friends. He loved cooking, fishing and horse racing. He especially loved following behind his uncle Wills who taught him how to make his famous barbeque sauce, which he has been making for the family reunions for many years.

Louis relocated in Cleveland, Ohio in the mid sixties. He worked as a department supervisor and union steward at Mid-West Forge until he retired.

He met and married Mildred Crawford and together they raised four children.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Sr., and Bertha Tatum; his wife, Mildred; his daughter, Renee Crawford; five brothers, Robert Tatum, Clarence Tatum, Theodis Tatum, Sampson Tatum and Joe Tatum Sr..; three sisters, Liza Tatum, Classie Tatum and Linda Animasaun and one grandson, Calvin Louis Tatum. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Lloyd (Marilyn) Tatum of Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters, Vickie Tatum and Loral (Lewis) Parr of Little Rock Arkansas; three brothers, Grady Jr. (Mildred) Tatum and Icum Tatum of Cleveland, Ohio, and Windell (Jackie) Tatum of Malvern, Arkansas; three sisters: Shirley (Riley) Wilson of Hawthorne, CA, Lula Hooks of Los Angeles , CA., and Bertha Tatum of Inglewood, CA,; four sisters-in-law, Olie Vera Tatum of Walkertown, NC , Kathy Tatum of Cleveland, Ohio, Jami Tatum of Fontana, CA, and Theresa Tatum of Lawton, OK; five grandchildren: Michael Crawford, Janae Kendrick, Ronnie Love, Sr.,Jessica Parr and Jennifer Parr; five great grandchildren: Shamika Woodson, Nicholas Kenrdick, Ayanna Love, Ronnie Love Jr., and Calvin J. Kendrick. He also leaves a host of niece, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
