Mary Baker, was born in Birmingham, Alabama on September 24, 1935, to the late Alex Reese and Emma Cooper.

At an early age she relocated to Ferndale, Michigan where she finished high school and later moved to Cleveland, Ohio. In the 1950’s she worked for Fisher Body until they closed and then transferred to the Chevrolet Plant on Brookpark Road where she retired at the age of 65.

In her spare time she enjoyed watching all types of sports on television, her favorite teams were the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Browns, she was a loyal fan. She also enjoyed politics and would often share her point of view. She attended the Scott Chapel Church in Cleveland, Ohio.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Cornell Cooper, a sister, Carrymell Hill and a niece Debra Grier.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her nieces: Janet Hill of Chicago, Ann Baker of Birmingham, Alabama, cousins: Georgia Williams, Willa Williams, Annie Turner, Bernice Gibson, Johnny Cooper, Rosemary Sanders and Stephanie Sanders all of Cleveland, Ohio. Special friends: Mary Powers and Denise Bell and host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
